The self-watering insert works by creating a resevoir between itself and the pot that you place it in, this means that each pot combination has its own unique size of reservoir.

Plant care made easy:
Do you want your plants to grow strong, healthy roots? We sure do! Encourage strong roots by alternately watering from above or filling the reservoir each time you water. We all know that plants need water to thrive, but not too much - so even if your water level indicator has reached the minimum line, check that the top few centimetres of soil are completely dry before refilling the reservoir.
